Currently, the company has approximately 21 hectares of vineyards, owned and run, in the DOC and DOCG area in Gambellara . The soil is mainly formed of basalts and basaltic tuffs, whose origin is volcanic.
The latter, easily powdery and exposed to atmospheric agents, represent the most relevant part of the hill.
Particularly on the hills of Gambellara is grown the most important native vine of Vicenza: Garganega, which is highly resistant to pest attacks and reaches the full growth under optimal condition. For this reason it then adapts easily to a natural drying, which allows you to get two of the most prestigious wines, not just of the area, but, in general, of the Veneto oenology: Recioto and Vin Santo.
The vineyards are mostly bred using the method “open pergola” and “Guyot high-density per hectare” in order to contain the block average production and promote quality.
Nowadays, the average age of the vineyards varies from 30 years for the older up to 3 years for the most recently planted.
Garganega, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Prosecco, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot.
